Also we're thinking of doing a petrol stop at Otaki as that's the last 'close' place that has 98 for a 'decentish while' so you shouldn't need to rush to get petrol beforehand...

In Palmy-town;

BP Rangitikei St. if you are coming via SH56.

BP Fitzherbert if you are travelling down SH57.

Both also do a decent cup of coffee.

Haha cheers, just if people are coming off the ferry / have forgotten to fill up they may not make it all the way to palmy / fielding, was the logic (my mate who's coming is in this boat apparently haha)

We're on the ferry now which should leave picton in half hour, we gonna fuel up once we get off the ferry.
Oh yeah, where's the closest BP with 98 to the ferry?

Closest is Taranaki street, across the road from Te Papa pretty much. HOWEVER I am unsure if it'll be open, as most (all?) BP's are not open 24/7. If you've got 75km worth of fuel in your tank or if that BP isn't open til 6 or something you can just fuel up with us en route in otaki or whatever.

Alternatively there's a BP that does 98 on state highway 1 at mana, it's on the way to meet up with us and there's no way you can miss it if you just get on state highway one and stay there. That one's about 30km/25 mins drive from the ferry.

But again, not sure when it opens.

BEDTIME. See yous later on ;)

haha Mike, no, I am old and don't stay out late anymore. Also my mentor Jello always told me not to give money to evil corporate clowns.
