Yep. Sadly the world is going auto and electric. Even tho us enthusiasts demand manuals and dinosaur-killing fuels, the amount of enthusiasts that can afford a new sti or manual wrx are getting less and less therefore one day its not going to be worth making manuals.
These days kids learning to drive dont learn manual as most cars are autos, there are tighter rules and more speed cameras/police meaning they cant have fun anymore and if you dont have fun when you get your license your not going to buy a fun car or be interested in them. Come on, you had fun when you got your license right? Sadly not as much anymore as society likes the idea of becoming more of a nanny state with more rules and governments ruling everyone lives (More police etc is good but as a bi-product, you create this issue) which prevent kids from becoming interested. Im young and all my mates that are into cars (very few) are going the off-road route because they think they cant have fun on the road... People are just getting less interested in petrol cars/fun cars and manuals in general. Sad but true.
Dont worry. Still plenty of manuals being made and I dont think they will ditch manual ever on an Sti, I imagine the sti will do an evo and stop being made before that happens.
