  1. Hopefully not some super dodgy mounting points for a towball. Just undo them and see what falls off underneath

  5. +1 ^ Yep, a buffer, cutting compound and headlight sealer is what I did. I was tired of looking at my misaligned bumper but since it was off I decided to freshen the headlights up a bit as well. Came out quite well. I did not expect to do this and wanted to tint my front headlights as well so it does not fog up in the future but oh well.

  6. autosol and a buffer pad also works wonders. straight criss cross lines when sanding, no swirling motion, start at like, 240 and work your way up to 2000 grit, keep it REALLY wet (wet sponge dribbling water while sanding works well) then clear coat of some sort. or just use autosol.

  7. What i do with mine is put toothpaste on them, get a scotch pad and scrub it. Let it sit, then hose off. Scrub with water and toothpaste again. Then use waterless wash & wax. Comes up really good. Sent from my MX4 Pro using Tapatalk

  12. Thanks, practice in a slow car has made me a lot faster, but always room to improve still! Hillclimbs, autocrosses and track days all just generally need a fire extinguisher, overalls and a helmet. Ohh and you need to be a member of a motorsport NZ affiliated club and then a motorsport license, both these things are easy to sort out though. Very few hillclimbs/sprints require a cage, it's generally only when the road is quite dangerous (ie like Shelly Bay in Wellington which is cliffs on one side and ocean on the other).

  13. Depends on the club and the course, many sealed hill climbs down here don't require cages or log books, but do require a motorsport club license or day license.

  14. MSNZ rules are changing soon (april next year) anything above a clubsport basic event (motorkana/autocross) will require more than just cotton overalls, page 13/14 of schd A has the details just a heads up

  15. Well i ****ed up, it looks like the bar i bought is for V8 STI and above. Response from whiteline ''After my04 STI the track became wider and the type of link changed to the balljoint style link which attached to the top of the rear lateral not underneath like your original set .to make the bsr37z fit your car you would need to change the lateral arms and possibly drive shafts and diff and wheels or put complete rear end out of 04 on in'' Incoming for sale thread.

  16. You want the blade of the sway bar to be on the inside part of the end link.
