  1. I've never understood why people are so obsessed with tinting their lights. They are a safety feature, they other drivers know of your presence and of your intent/action. I follow a Commodore wagon home from work quite often. I now give him plenty of space as I can't tell when his brake lights come on... At the end of the day, you are making your vehicle unsafe and more likely to be pulled over or in an accident. Not worth the risk imo.

  2. As @McMatty said doesnt mean you will fail a wof. Just means if you get pulled up by a cop who wants to make a point you won't be driving home as it could be deemed unsafe.

  3. Put on middle spoiler, I had double sided sticky strips that you can use to hold up stuff on walls. I put em over the holes so it seals around where the bolts go so water cant get through. pic below. Also darkened tail lights more as they were still showing red (dont have pic of this). Also used night shade on reflector and side indicator (pic below). Removed big windscreen "STI" sticker as I dont wanna go down that route of mods. I took my car for a blat a few days ago and on the front passenger wheel has a TON of brake dust, a lot more than front driver side and its made my tire letters all brown and hard af to get off... grr Ill give her a clean tomorrow and take some good pics and upload to my garage page as its very dirty atm. Spoiler (bonus points for guessing where that is... ) Reflector:

  4. As a rough guide the USDM 04 sti manual says intake is 0.0079 +0.0016 / −0.0024... so your intake clearances are well within that. The exhaust clearance is much bigger than 0.010 on this engine though... 0.0138±0.002, the +/- 0.002 is probably pretty good, so 0.13 and 0.14 is probably on the big side. I have quite a few spare buckets, let me know what you need.

  5. My understanding is that once it has learned knock correction, when you change fuels it will take ages to bring the timing back in, so the improvement in performance you've perceived between 2 tanks of gas is almost certainly placebo/butt-dyno results. I think the massive reduction in range and improvement in performance = you just gave it more jandal.

  6. Reversed scoops and raised bonnets can cause problems at scrutineering.. Potential for windscreen to be affected by oil/coolant leaks..

  7. There’s a indepth explanation of what you see in Learning View. Different layout to your’s as it looks like your using BTSSM. I’d be resetting the ECU once you have a full tank of e10 and drive around for a few days as normal and see what the LV gives you then.

  8. Thanks. I will google this some more tonight. Can you provide any more information on how that works? Update is: Enough is enough. I phoned Robinson Instruments and spoke to Profel. He said to send the cluster in asap. He has seen this issue on the Subaru's before. I pulled the cluster out this afternoon and right after I pulled the plugs from it the flippin gauge needle moves up from the dead faulty empty reading! Wonder what that means? Anything further though is beyond my expertise and these guys sound like the experts. I hope this can be fixed once and for all. I've already thrown quite a bit of money at it with no outcome and I can't imagine trying to ever sell the car with a faulty fuel gauge... Thanks very much for putting me on to these guy's.
