  1. The people have asked, and we've delivered. After some back and forth with COBB we're now authorised dealers for New Zealand. We have been been getting requests for the last couple of years about COBB parts and since we've become much more involved in the Subaru scene this has only increased! We have the full range available to us including their game changing Accessport systems as well as the extensive knowledge from COBB Tuning to back it all up. We can also supply their "stage" upgrade kits as package deals. Please visit the COBB website - https://www.cobbtuning.com/ and have a look at what's on offer. We are constantly updating our website (http://www.mlracing.co.nz) to include more items but if you don't see what you want on there just send a message over or email [email protected]

  3. I looked up the cost, as was thinking about doing it as well. Pretty crazy tbh, didn't expect it to be that much at all. http://www.hpcoatings.co.nz/PriceList.aspx For $700 to just coat headers, i ruled it out very quickly

  4. Isn't wrap/hpc as much about keeping heat in (heat=energy=turbo spool) as it is protecting things around it? People say wrap causes rusted as it traps moisture, also on subaru's it's more of pain in the ass than normal as it sits below the oil filter (oil drips onto wrap). I'm not sure if it's just sales pitch but HPC sounds pretty good, heat protection plus better performance benefits. Anyone seen actual proof of HPC coated performance gains?

  8. Here's a list of fixes that Armstrong's in Wellington say are available to my BLE 5EAT. When using steering wheel gear change switch// prevents jumping gears (eg. Jumping from 3rd to 5th without going into 4th perhaps)// Prevent rough gear change from 1st to 2nd during low speed driving while in 'D' mode (says D range) // Prevent vehicle jolting when moving gear selector from N to D // Prevent rough gear change when in 'sports mode', vehicle travelling between 30 and 40km/h and changing from 3rd to 2nd// interlock fail change 2 ???(P1799) // Manual mode 'auto upshift' extra (extra part?) // Change shift pattern when water temperature cold // When decelerating, after reaching around 40km/h prevents rough gear changes from 4th to 3rd The software costs $60.00 + GST per file. Labour - $57.50 + GST per file.

  9. The factory headers well outflow the limits of a stock turbo. I know of people running above 350wkw e85 builds and the factory headers are fine (twin scroll though!) I'm not sure on the single scroll headers limits, It's something I haven't seen much ..yet. I know they can hit 250wkw +, just not sure how high they go. Personally amazed people with stock cars waste money on headers when they could spend that on a good set of tyres/rims/ shocks and literally go faster lol
