The reason a BOV vents is because the throttle plate closes creating a difference in pressure between the manifold and the intake tract before the throttle. With an auto, because you shift without lifting off the throttle, this pressure difference never exists, so the BOV won't vent. Same reason diesels don't have BOVs. You could deliberately make it vent by lifting off the throttle very suddenly, but it seems like a pointless exercise.

All down to what gets submitted Agreed though. Cars and the surrounding landscapes are much better than a macro shot of a gearshift or badge.

I have a suggestion. Can we have more pictures of 'cars' in the calendars. The 2018 calendar has 4 out of 12 pictures of whole cars and I think it should be at least 8. I get bored of looking at a wheel, start/stop button all month. I do like the odd wheel/engine bay picture but I think cars have a lot more to offer for a calendar.

It seems to be a bit worn. So you are saying that a bov will not work on a automatic? If it will work is there any implications that could affect the turbo/engine?

There are loads of events at loads of tracks all the time... where are you looking exactly?

ahh yeah nah BOV's are not for Auto's is there something wrong with the Factory one?
