Gen 4 2.0L turbo Legacies are all twin-scroll turbo
38mm headers vs Impreza 42mm
Different flange and up-pipe bracket iirc
Prone to running bearings and turbos
Yes. Most (all?) BP/BL Legacys are twinscroll. I have a set of the headers off one in my garage. The headers are slightly lower diameter than the STI ones, and have a different flange at both ends of the uppipe.
Correct, marginally smaller.
Apparently good to ~380wkw, but that's kinda internet mythology. I'll be running them with my baby BorgWarner, looking forward to the reliability and awesome heat shielding of OEM parts
VF38 turbos only came on the 03-05 EJ20X (automatic) Legacy's. 03-05 EJ20Y Legacy's are TD04. Then 06 is VF44 for auto & manual, and VF45 for 07-09 auto/manual.
Dude the NT03 have free shipping!
I reckon they'd look mean on a 3rd or 4th gen. They're the same wheels as the 4th gen photo I posted and the wheels on the front of this B4:
4th gen onwards are twin scroll. Smaller extractors than the sti ones though. Legacy twin scroll headers are what's on my car. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
Evening subie gang I recently had my Legacy GT 2007 Reflashed and when the tuner was getting to it he noticed the below attached to the ECU which he obiously pulled off so he could remap mine properly
Anyone know much about it or seen one? it was only imported to NZ a year ago and Iam the First NZ owner so obviously came from Japan like it
Obviously some sort of ECU chip to get a bit more power out of the car as I noticed when I first bought it it definitely pulled a lot better than all the others I test drove
Asked a mate who's an importer and said these are mutli point ignition systems. Sees them on a bunch of cars, they are done by orientworks. And they do tuned ecus also such as https://www.croooober.com/en/item/8587762/ECU/Orient-Works-RESULT-MAGIC https://www.google.com/search?ei=__pRXLyTPJLd9QPT2aK4Cw&q=orientworks+result+magic&oq=orientworks+result+magic&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-serp.3...7962.8313..8880...0.0..0.243.1472.0j3j4......0....1.3UiakxA-SgE#imgrc=enTrjPkDmeDwGM:
