  1. Definitely check to see if the airbag has been done. Subaru NZ are working with Subaru Japan to recall all imported Subarus that are affected. https://www.subaru.co.nz/takata

  3. Do your tail lights work? Try checking the tail light fuse. Does the car have a towbar? Potentially could be a short in bad trailer wiring.

  4. Wow, didnt realize hks would provide that sound(i guess i have to have the complete set up😬). Thanks bro for the nice input and from the time that you gave just to be in “detail” with your system. I definetly think about this as hks is easy to get too here in nz. cheersp

  5. here ya go. cold start on the car. hks exhaust, pbms downpipe, hks intake (tho not sure if that makes change to this cold start idle sound). haven't yet figured out a nice way to mount camera in there (mounted on the roof scoop bare metal thing in old car) for cool in car POV driving recording, so for now a brief description : after it's warmed up it's a really nice sound, cold starts can be a bit loud (but i do think its kinda cool). once warmed up , cruising around at normal speeds in I or S, you know it's there but it's not over powering anything. in s# with the change in map (might just be cos mines tuned as haven't driven in this configuration while stock), you're pretty much always under boost so it's a bit louder but still not annoyingly loud. turns heads, but still sounds nice in car. i found myself turning down the music and driving a gear lower than usual just cos i loved the sound that much lol. not droney at any point at all regardless of mode/throttle position so that's an added bonus.

  6. Sway bar was sold ages ago unlike a bunch of braces that I never get around to itemise and list properly. Have some for the front and a few for the rear including one that goes across, kind off like an underbody strut brace 16mm is not as bad, if I remember correctly NZ new had 14mm there.. I first upgraded to an STI GRB swaybar and then to Ultraracing.

  7. Looks like you can do a direct swap from all that info. You'll have a higher compression ratio, so more responsive off boost, and more power on boost. It will be more prone to knock, so use good fuel and be careful how much boost you put into it.

  8. Dang I still have some brand new underbody braces (Hardrace) and used Cusco, would've been cheaper than those whitelines That rear sway bar should make it handle so much better. Stock one is a joke.

  9. Finally found some time to install the whiteline goodies that arrived last week. Now just to find the time to see how it has changed how the car handles.

  10. Still have to pick valve springs as the titanium retainers I have work with most springs. Manley seem to be the cheapest and good to 10k rpm limit. Thinking that the buckets must add more weight to the Subaru valve train. Have to add new valve keepers as well so adds $100usd more. Cobb map sensor looks to be plug and play so can hit the 30-32 psi planned boost limit.
