  1. Engines are just as reliable as most subaru engines, its the tiny turbo's that chew themselves to pieces if they see to much overboost. Most sellers probably don't like strangers doing this but when test driving do a pull most of the way to redline to make sure the secondary does in fact work as it should. And with the simple vacuum hose mods by marky and rosssub the VOD region can be greatly reduced giving a completely different driving experience. Also if you want to get it tuned in future you have to get a rev d, a-c make tuning quite a bit more difficult
  2. What part of the country are you in? If you're lucky you may find someone willing to let you try their one to see if that works
  3. That'll be the one then. Not a clue how to fix it though. Worth finding this module and checking the plugs are fully connected. Don't think it's behind the door cards, have had mine apart and never saw anything back there that would be a control module, unless it is part of the drivers side switch setup. The one suggestion they seem to say round the place is to turn the ignition on and off a few times and if its a one off issue it'll go away. Edit: if thats the case then this part may have just completely failed now. If someone has a service manual for these years they might be able to point you in the direction of this module. Check all fuses if you haven't already.
  4. Are your windows going up and down properly? http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/console-display-er-pd-71206.html?p=1409016
  5. Not sure if it is a standard size or not but does anyone know the thread pitch for the bolt holes on a stock rotor for removing it when its seized on. Saw a post by rossub that said 8mm bolt for what he had but getting the pitch would save a fair bit of time and hassle. Cheers
  6. 15us is pretty decent for iridiums, was a bit over 20nz each for mine from bnt
  7. Aren't you saying its at 0.4bar even once warmed, or that it slowly got up to where it should be once warm
  8. Not sure at all. Just need a way of making the pillars black without looking like a cheapo crap job
  9. Yea watched a few for the duplicolor stuff, seems pretty simple to use. Might be the way to go for the seatbelt pivot/holder thing too. Is that the vht one or is there a liquid type dye aswell? http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/vinyldye/
  10. Maybe this stuff is the way to go, seems super counter intuitive using a spray paint type product on something soft but people seem to have good results and say the material softens to how it originally was after a month or so. https://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinylFabricCoating/ Was that the kind of stuff tou were thinking of adikt or more dye in water type jobs?
  11. Might have to watch a few. Just felt like it might pool funny in the spongy material and show up darker in those spots or something like that.
  12. Anyone know of any places in nz that stock either of these? Have had zero luck just browsing round the net. Wanting to wrap my A,B and C pillars with something along those lines as i'm not sure trying to dye each one will net consistant results with the heavily perforated material currently on them.
  13. Mine didn't, could use any random key with the same Design. And is this car a manual or auto? Does the starter have a signal wire that only lets it start in neutral? See some classic remote start fails on the net where people start them in gear.
  14. A what fuel to use for what cars sticky would be really helpfull it seems since these come up every other week.
  15. Fitted a blackout headliner with black handles and lighting surrounds. Looks the way it should have been from new
  16. Can do in a couple of days. Still pulling front end stuff apart and cleaning so I'll be getting onto the rear end stuff some time this week. Later 3rd gen JDM ones had alloy aswell if I remember correctly from the last car. Could be wrong, its been a while.
  17. Ah sweet, well got a spare set of jdm alloy ones then
  18. Do you know if that was 4th gen aswell as 3rd?
  19. For 4th gen legacy's gt/ 3.0 spec are the nz spec rear trailing arms steel or alloy?
  20. Other pics? Is there something far worse that you've done?
  21. Don't know whats worse. The hook or the v sticker haha
  22. You should be able to hook up almost any reversing camera's wiring to the wiring of the new unit. If you're not doing it yourself you'd be better to go to a place and getting their opinions since they'd be doing it. Not everyone does things exactly the same so let them tell you how they would do it. Hyper and rapid each have good names, a mates commadore had everyhing removed and a complete high end system put in at rapid radio so can vouch for their quality work.
