will a auto ecu work in a manual ?

95 auto gt motor into a 97 gtb manual ecu is a v3/4 sti that worked on the gtb motor ive got a manual gt ecu coming so ill try that , i just thought it would work because all the loom conections are the same

motors out of gt auto all the sensors conected fine will check the cel codes and pulleys tomorow

i put a new motor in my gtb after big end gave up now the new motor wont fire it has spark and gas but it wont fire just keeps turning over any ideas?
