  2. Got it serviced and did the engine upper cleaner. Noticed its a bit smoother after
  3. You can also try An Lal from custom culture and tuning he's done a few of my cars and he's very thorough, and results always good He has roadtune and dyno option. Roadtune much cheaper. Not sure if he is still active here but search it on facebook.
  4. After 2 years without a subie finally back in a leggy. Love the rumble
  5. Thanks for letting me know. i just went online and was mixed responses some say its normal some say its not
  6. Oh right i did kind of notice a shudder when i was turning but was ever so slight. could that be a the diff? the car shifted fine between gears though.
  7. He must of sold outside of trademe But this is the sound it makes
  8. i should of taken a vid of it but looks like it sold already. i was going to get my mechanic to look at it tomorrow. thanks for the responses
  9. It wasnt as loud as that but was loud. he said subtech said it was lightened flywheel but ive never had a car with lightened flywheel previously. it only made a sound when your were not accelerating. when you accelerate it goes away
  10. Im looking to get back into a subaru and took this car for a drive and it makes a grinding sound when just cruising and not accelerating. is that normal? This is the car http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-1202037456.htm
  11. Yeah I still have my v2 sti. All factory, just wanted the easy way to get something fast lol
  12. Have decided not to go ahead with purchase as no receipts or dyno papers have been found. And also had some feedback about engine builder as well. Thanks for all your feedback.
  13. It will be a weekend car, the wheels are rotiform nues. The wheels are ok, id rather have some other wheels on it though.
  14. Well he reckons the retunes just for buyers peace of mind. I'll wait and see what proof he has and still waiting on the dyno results from him.
  15. Yeah he wants 10k actually without the service and retune. So its quite cheap. I will try contact the tuners and see if they have anything to say. All he has given me so far is a receipt for the link ecu. Waiting on other receipts and dyno papers. He is going to meet me at rotorua if i do agree on purchase so thats a decent drive for the car. Im 50/50 on purchase as no real proof yet and with the fact it may end up being a headache
  16. The cars in hastings so it would have to be somewhere over there. I called subaru and they recommended vtnz lol as it was more comprehensive.
  17. And he has no receipts for labour so wanted to know if someone could back the work of Brian Manning, from previous post thats the engine builder
  18. Yeah i plan to get vtnz to check it out before purchase. I was thinking of getting compression test as well from subaru dealer there. Yeah the wheels are alright lol might sell and get other wheels or use the ones on my car now.
  19. I will upload once he sends them to me. U know much about the engine builder?
