    Alternator drive belt has failed and I'm in Christchurch and I'm in Christchurch. Is anyone able to help??? Please contact on 0212551904. I am stuck!!! HELP! Currently in Hornby. Forgot to add that vital piece of information.

    Either sounds good to me; I agree Taupo has a lot more other activities to entice people & partners :-) After such a fun time at Mega Meet it would be jobs on for us! Better start getting the car ready!

    Well it sounds/feels like the Autocross at Manfeild last weekend has finally sent my current front brakes to the edge :-( Trip over the Rimutuka hill last night and on the down hill run lots of juddering and squeeking... not much fun! All right under normal drive but the extended use downhill is too much. So it is off to get the pads and rotors checked and changed next week.

    Many thanks for the links! Managed to get the last pair of front rotors in NZ from BNT :-) Will get my guys to check out the current front rotors to see if they need swapping out or (fingers crossed) just new pads.

    Heard back from Leon; they would need to custom make them as they have an overall diameter of 302mm.. the Legacy had 266mm. The old Disc Brakes Australia number I believe is DBA652.

    Thanks for a fab weekend. First time on the track and would definitely do it gain :-) Next time would get some expert training to get my game up. Managed 170 down the straight on my last run... only to be passed by wife! She saw the speedo at 210 at one stage. Enjoyed the rally on Saturday (even with a domestic in the car, glad we weren't on the only ones!). Shame we had to head home for work Monday... would have been great to get a couple more laps in and drive home today. Great to meet you all and a big thumbs up!

    I think the rotors were unique to the SVX and I suppose as there aren't many in NZ anymore they are importing them.

    Called in at BNT today for a quote for new front rotor pads, just in case I need them after the Mega Meet, only one pair left in NZ and $219+ GST per rotor! BNT had them as being discontinued. Are there any other dealers in NZ that would stock; or is it purchase of E-Bay? Perhaps I should be cheeky and ask for 2 for the price of 1 as they are the last ones!

    Thanks for the feedback! Probably everyone else came to the same conclusion; it's the same with after market modifications... there aren't any! I think most SVX owners would say they a fabricators car rather than a modifiers car. Yep, that was me in Featherston :-) Was heading out to Gladstone Inn for lunch and we called in for a little shopping.

    Just wondering if there is any benefit for getting an ECU tune done for an SVX? Can a retune get additional performance out of a non-turbo charged engine? I come across a few threads on this on other sites but no has actually said what, if any, advantage it would be. Any thoughts/comments :-)

    Mine has just got to 350,000 and had the cam belt and other belts replaced, new rocker cover seals, water pump, plugs etc done at 345 so hope not to have any issues! Brakes were checked and fluid replaced and a through inspection done yesterday so she is ready as she ever will be. Will definitely ease me, and the car, into it on the day. Wanting to enjoy the day and have a bit of fun along the way too.

    Sounds like a fun time; always wanted to do a track day! Are you able to hire helmets? And is there anything special/checks that I should get done to the car in prep? Would live to give the SVX a jolly good run :-) The rally sounds fun too!
