  1. Here ya go: http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php?/store/product/32-cs-2019-calendar/ --- @Joker, did I make the first batch order?
  2. I've had LEDs throughout both my BE and BM Legacy, not a single issue with WoF or Police. I find the LEDs are much brighter and have a nicer, modern colour. The indicators flash in sync with the stock LED side repeaters, the brake lights come on instantly, and your can leave your car parked with the parklights on for hours without worrying about battery drain. Oh and my reverse lights actually light up dark driveways In terms of exterior lights I have the following as LED: Brake/tail, indicators (all four corners), reverse, number plate and park lights. I will not be changing the main beam (HID), high beam (halogen) and fog lights (halogen) as using LEDs in those situations may dazzle other drivers and create an inefficient beam shape due to the way the lenses are designed.
  3. I had the bumper on my BE repaired through these guys twice: https://www.peterhendriks.co.nz/ I think they outsourced the plastic welding but they did a pretty good job with the respray etc.
  4. https://www.customs.govt.nz/personal/duty-and-gst/whats-my-duty-estimator/ You don't have to pay duties on motor vehicle parts, just GST and customs fees.
  5. Any side effects doing the hogzaust? Sounded like total ass on my car lol. Reverted back to stock pretty quickly. Might hit up @Subirex Automotive to see if he can make me an axle back setup. I was considering importing a set from overseas but it ends up being quite pricey.
  6. Hi all, I'll be driving from Wellington to Auckland on the 6th-7th January. Thought I'd put up the offer if anyone needs anything from Wellington to Auckland or in between (Travelling via Palmerston North and Taupo). Car is only a little hatchback so can't take much. Let me know. Cheers, and Happy New Year to all.
  7. Man @BMCracer that's just disgusting. I'd be driving there and parking across the entry to the workshop until a manager came to speak to me. I honestly hope you are compensated for the damage they caused.
  8. I thought the BLE/BPE (3L) had the same rotor size and caliper as the BL5/BP5 (GT)?
  9. Oh oops. I forgot to remove the watermark on the ones I emailed in didn't I... Gotta say, it still one of the best Subaru club calendars I've seen.
  10. Good mix of model, generation, and background. Well done @preim! And a huge well done to all the photographers! Definitely setting the bar high for 2020's calendar!
  11. They could already be on holiday? Awkward time of year for this to happen to you. Just to give you an idea of their response times, I've looked back in my emails when I reached out to Subaru NZ via their website... I submitted a contact form on Thursday 9th August and they didn't reply until Friday 17th.
  12. Awesome! @BMCracer give him a call/email and keep us posted.
  13. Realised I forgot to add the Vehicle line. What do you drive?
  14. Decided to make a dealer/service centre review thread so people can easily see reviews etc. Feel free to dump your story on there.
  15. I'll start us off Dealer/Service Centre Name: Winger Subaru Greenlane Month/Year: November 2018 Category: Service - Recall Rating: 3 out of 5 Vehicle: 2011 Legacy Description: Car needed recall work for 2 recalls (Takata Airbag recall and Wiper Motor cover). Both recalls were complete in less than a day with the car returned to me clean and assembled well. The only complaint was I asked for the service team to look at the heater/AC mix and mode actuators as I don't get any hot air on the passenger side and I can hear the actuators ticking away. They advised that they couldn't find a problem which I suspect is false and that they just forgot to check whilst the dash was out for the airbag recall. However, they did not charge me for investigating.
  16. Thought it is about time we have a review thread for all the " Subaru Authorised Dealers and Authorised Parts and Service Centres" around New Zealand. This way people can get an idea of where to go when dealing with recalls etc A simple format for reviewing each dealer/service centre (just copy and paste and fill in): Dealer/Service Centre Name: (https://www.subaru.co.nz/buying/locate-a-dealer) Month/Year: Category: (New Vehicle Purchase / Used Vehicle Purchase / Service / Parts) Rating: (Out of 5 with 0 being worst service ever, 5 being best service ever) Vehicle: Year and Model Description: A description of dealings with Dealer/Service Centre --- Related threads: Takata Airbag Recall
  17. LVVTA are super helpful, good to see you got a quick response.
  18. I've worked in (non-automotive) service in the past and people make mistakes, especially when under pressure from management to get S*** done etc. From their side of things, they can't really fix something unless they know about it. Heck I've dealt with quite a few workshops over the years and from time to time even the good ones make a mistake (leaving engine bay trim loose, not tightening caps, forgetting to reinstall centercaps on wheels when changing tyres... just as a few examples). After mentioning it to the workshop manager or owner I got an apology and the problem/s resolved in a quick manner with no charges. The least you can do as a customer/client (paying or non-paying) is to bring issues to the attention of the business so they have a chance to resolve it. In saying all that, I do agree that they did a terrible job and potentially caused irreparable damage to some of your interior which would leave me fuming also. However it's handled, I hope you get an apology and they repair/replace any damaged components at no cost to you.
  19. You don't have time to waste discussing things with the service centre that did the poor work, yet you spent 1.5hrs on cleaning up their shoddy workmanship... Should always complain directly to the service delivery or workshop manager first, then the top brass at the dealership, then take it to Subaru NZ. But hey, why would anyone follow the logical process. At the end of the day, I hope you get it sorted, although you seem to be fixing it yourself.
  20. Take photos before and after. You will need to do the recall soon, NZTA is going to start enforcing it. And no you can't. Recall work has to be done by a Subaru NZ approved repairer.
  21. I went to Winger Greenlane for my airbag and wiper motor recalls. They did a decent job of the recall work. No rattles or damage that I could spot. Maybe we should make a list of positive and negative feedback for each Subaru service centre for the recall work?
  22. Yeah, that's unacceptable. Have you tried complaining to their workshop manager or you just going straight to Subaru NZ?
  23. You able to share in more detail as to what they did without naming and shaming?
