  1. Hello Car is 2008 S-GT manual with twinscroll turbo. I've recently had a 2 1/2" exhaust put on from the second cat back. My problem is it still sounds constipated. What I want to know is do I have to get a tune after removing the back cat? I think it has either a co2 sensor or exhaust temp in it. And if I have to get it tuned does anyone know of someone in the Manawatu that does etunes/relashes? Thanks
  2. I brought up the subject of BT adapters in this thread:
  3. Thanks guys I was just seeing if there was a slightly cheaper option. @SpeedySub subaru is very picky about what devices can read live read outs from the ecu, that's why the cheap Bluetooth ones only read codes.
  4. Hello Is anyone on here using the Btssm app and adapter? I tried getting a cheap OBDII bluetooth thingy off TM but all it will do is read codes. What do I have to get to be able to view live read outs on my phone? Preferably wireless. Vehicle is 2008 Impreza S-GT Manual Thanks
  5. I bought a cheap BT one off trade me, will only read codes with torque even though it said it was compatible. so it looks like cheap isn't an option for this.
  6. Welcome The stock immobilizer is better than any aftermarket alarms. if you need to get an alarm fitted do so but leave the stock immobilizer connected. Someone else will be able to say what alarm is best.
  7. Cool thanks. I had slight reserves about just getting any oil because of the viscus centre diff, but I think this clears it up.
  8. Thanks for the info. The only problem with buying a jdm S-G/T is its never listed on websites like that. 2008 Subaru Impreza S-G/T 2.0 turbo manual doesn't exist apparently.
  9. Hello I'm wanting to know what the general consensus is for gearbox oil. I've got a (2008) GH8 S-G/T 5sp manual and the 'box seems a bit reluctant to change, if that makes sense for a manual. Any and all suggestions considered (but not necessarily used) Thanks
  10. 2mm made a very noticeable difference to my Forester XT. The one I put in is from the equivalent year STI, see this thread for the list of 2008 models that cross over: http://clubsub.org.nz/forum/showthread.php?48823-STI-sway-bar-for-SH5-Forester-XT . Not much effort involved.
  11. Hello Can someone please confirm what year/version STI sway bar will fit a SH5 Forester XT ?? The internet is a little murky especially when you throw American spec forre's in i.e: all 2.5lt LH drive etc. Thoughts and critical comments welcome.
  12. Which it's not . Any one got a spare STI swaybar from a GH/GE wrx?
  13. I'm wanting to upgrade my rear sway bar, what is the best bang for buck? I'm not looking at race specking it just trying to improve handling. Car is SH5 (2008) Forester XT manual.
  14. I had this in my 2000 Forester, replaced the rear gearbox mount with a aftermarket (ie: better) one. sorted out the slop on lift off in gear. only downside is slightly more driveline noise in the cabin. if you want a pic of the I used I can upload it.
  15. Check that the head unit is getting constant 12v, there is a acc wire and a 12v constant supply wire. if it isn't getting constant power when the key is off it won't remember any settings
  16. Now on TM: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1051072784&ed=true
  17. Any offers around $2700 will be considered
  18. I think it falls into the don't use category as it says contains 10% ethanol might not be suitable for all makes.
  19. Not sure, will this tell you?
  20. Would any one be interested in a SF5 S/tb manual forester done 173000kms? Motor is good, I replaced O2 and knock sensor, changed sparks and leads trying to fix an injector cut that is in the ecu:o Starts first time every time. Synchos are going in the 'box but still shifts alright. Body is rough. Will have 2 new tires when sold. warrant and rego till august. Just replaced the radiator New pads and rotors on the back.
