  1. Thanks for that. Once the bigger hp increases come ie turbo etc then i will be looking at a forged rebuild. For now all i can afford is the injectors, pump, comp & tune so all is running nicely while i get the $$ together for the next stage. Any reccomendations on where to get injectors from? And with the 1000cc will i need new rails as well? Also have heard a few contradicting stories as to side or top feed. I think top feed high impedance is correct though for v9 2.5? cheers.
  2. Also looking into rails/injectors. Where do I even start??? What are decent brands that are reasonably easy to get hold og in nz? Top feed? Side feed? Conversion kits? Cc? Was looking at these ones. http://www.deatschwerks.com/products/fuel-rails/subaru-top-feed-conversion/subaru-side-feed-to-top-feed-kit-w-1000cc-injecotors-detail Any thoughts? Cheers.
  3. Agreed. And my local guy doesnt do factory ecu remapping.
  4. Thanks for that. I am however bound by location. (Taranaki). And only 1 4wd dyno to choose from so will have to stick with link.
  5. Tuning companies. Prob just tryin to make more money outta me but surely an aftermarket ecu will have more benefits than running ractory?
  6. 98 is all i have ever run.
  7. Yet everone spoken to says u cannot tune factory ecu?
  8. No plans as yet. Kind of planning as i go. Bit by bit.

Got one of ali express for $15 delivered. Works with 2deg sim. $20 top up every 12 months. Bit of hassle figuring out the setup as chinese instructions are gibberish but works well. Would reccomend running it off an external power supply that charges while car is running to avoid a flat batt if car not used for a while.
  10. So starting a new project. V9 wrx with end goal of 450hp. So far have 3" redline exhaust from turbo back and increased air flow in. Turbo smart dual port bov and walbro 255L fuel pump. I am booked in for install of link G4+ plug and play with all the extras in a couple of weeks which has been quoted at $3500. That sound about right/good price? Any info is appreciated as I am only new to this. It may take a while as doing it on a budget but want it done right so no half ass work or crap parts. Will update as I manage more mods. Thanks. Also have had the auto light adjust light on dash for a while. Is this going to cause any issues? Easy fix? Pain in the ass? Cheers.
