Petone lower hutt currently, not sure where ill be buying it's all cost dependant haha I know what will need doing, shocks for a start, but being a project car, I want to get all certs in one hit, at the moment it's more of a statue than a car, the past 4 warrants the shocks have been "misting"... they're beyond gone, they're factory at 240k.... the question was in regards to more the keeping on top of what could happen, and yes timing water pump in fact all belts and fluids were done at 200k oil and spark have been done.... I'm more looking at upgrading superseded components

Just a general question, if this has already been answered, could someone please point me in the direction of the thread? Basically I'm seeing a lot of nice subarus out there and mine well it needs some love and care, I'm trying to way up if its within my budget to keep it, or if I'm better finding a newer car with less k's.... I don't really want to as I love my car..... Anyway, you don't have to answer as I get why you wouldn't, but how much do you put aside for your car per week, month, year? At the moment I'm on a need as is basis, but I'd like to start putting something aside purely for car stuff to keep on top rather than having to dig into my savings every time I need to fix/ replace something... Thank you all for your help, and cheers for the welcoming After looking at the price of some of the bolt on turbos, would I be better off having my current one reconditioned? I suppose it will depend on what's wrong with it?

Hey, I've been following club sub on Facebook for a fair few years now, I know the organisers/ admin prefer questions being asked through the forums.... I'd ask Subaru parts nz but I'd just get bombarded with bs.... It's probably been asked before, but what is the factory replacement turbo for a 97 v4 sti wrx... I think a vf28 would work (as I'm pretty sure they're factory on the v5 of the same year) Thanks in advance
