  1. Flush, being a relative term [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Might have taken me a few months, but I finally got around to fitting Bilsteins in my BP5 last weekend. Gave it a clean and got an alignment this morning. The result, speaks for itself.. Dropped 64mm and looks pretty flush on RE003’s. Well stoked, might take it for a test run to town VIA Whitford later [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sweet, thanks for the info! Any pics of how yours sat, with the pink springs? It’ll be her daily and our weekend roadie wagon, so looking for a balance between her not bottoming out everywhere and it being sporty enough for me in the weekends! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Recently purchased the other half a 3L BP5 Outback for daily duties. More on that later.. Keen to upgrade the suspension, both for handling aspects and aesthetics - wondering if Bilsteins from a Spec B Legacy (either GT or 3L) would boot straight in and if so, if I’d need to change anything else over? I’ve done a fair bit of reading up about it but keep getting conflicting answers - some say that it’ll be sweet to straight swap the shocks and springs, others say that I’ll need to also change the bump stops, upper control arm and ‘something’ to give some rest camber adjustment. Any and all experience in suspension related to a BP Outback would be appreciated! Many thanks, David. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. My car is literally 500m up the road getting a bumper repair! Won’t get it back this side of Christmas ☹️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Where's best to run the tube in for a boost gauge for my unmolested 1989 BC5 [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I was looking around for late 2000's spec B sedans for ages, ended up buying a 1989 RS - haven't looked back since! Freeing up an extra 10k for the pending mortgage and a higher likelihood of appreciation (versus a more common later model Legacy, with a few hours of restoration and tinkering with an older 'classic') sold it for me.. Also helped to get the Mrs around the idea [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Old New Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Was re-tightening the top hat bolts on my BC5, after failing to fit a GC8 STI Carbon Brace (electrical look in the background of the pic was in the way) - managed to snap one of the bolts off.. Where to from here - assuming it'll handle light arse (not being fully secured to the chassis), need to replace the top hat before driving it far? Located in Auckland, any and all help appreciated! 17. Too work for finding those codes! I've got the same 15" wheels, in average condition - was pondering what they'd look like in gold while in Aussie.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. If it's still unbeaten when I get back from Oz, I'll update it.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Think the hometown of Possum Bourne.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Keen to part with any of them, or are you happy making a collection? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I've got the bottom one (four spoke) in my BC5, although is showing signs of wear an tear. Anyone know where I could find a tidy replacement, similar to any of those above? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yep, will be running the stock WAIC. I'm thinking of keeping it relatively stock - besides the intake (removing AFM, fitting a pod and possibly a down pipe). Assuming I wouldn't 'need' a retune, unless / until I do the intake (as per above) and putting an upgraded exhaust (cat back, also removing the cat) on it? Thy being the case, best to do it all at once? Who's the go to for Link tunes in Auckland? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Whilst it's theoretically not my car yet, I picked up a HKS panel filter for the long commute home next weekend! Should do me for engine mods for a while, assuming I'll need a tune (Link G1 fitted) once I remove the AFM and throw a pod filter down by the drivers side guard.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Paying the deposit today, picking it up next weekend.. Rob's fitting a genuine cambelt kit and giving it an oil change before I reacquaint myself with the Subaru rumble, looking forward to the 1,000km road trip home VIA Tauranga! That probably makes this thread dead, will share the journey with y'all in the coming weeks [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
