I'd say they just provoke more aggressive driving. It's kind of a compliment to the tires, not really a negative thing.
Even if it seems like you're going full nana it's probably not the case. You'd have fitted Turanza or Ecopia for slow and steady.
Personal experience: 3 cars, 4 sets, stock suspension, 0.5-1.2 degree negative camber, no track days, getting around 40-50K from them (yeah, that low, I know, totally worth it :), outside edge dies first...
