    Front guards on WRX

Any reason why the passenger side guard doesn’t line up flush with the bumper.I’m sure the sedan bumper is slightly wider then the hatch bumper.

    Front guards on WRX

The V7 sedan is 1730mm wide and the hatch is 1695mm wide.V7 sedan front track 1485mm and the hatch front track 1465mm.
  3. Wheel alignment has to be way off spec to cause any vibration problems.Check your tyres for uneven wear.If you have a bent rim, problem will move as you rotate wheels. If you have after market mags, they may have a removable spigot ring for multi fitment for other vehicles. This is what locates your mag onto the hub,it may be missing.Again the problem will move when you rotate wheels.Warped or cracked brake rotors are obvious under braking.Make sure there is nothing raised between the brake rotor hub mounting and wheel hub mounting. Best way to find out what’s going on is to jack car up securely on all 4 lower suspension arms and run car at idle through the gears and check wheels and axles for vibration.Otherwise swap over your wheels with another set.Cheap front axles can also cause problems, axles which have been swapped left to right and rebuilt cv’s.I’ve even had a new car that had to have the tyres shaved.
  4. Had this problem with a Bh legacy.Inner cv.Have this problem with my Bl legacy.Worn Bilstein shock.
  5. Just got my new, used Legacy Sti wheels back from Arrow Wheels for track day wheels and purchased a set of new matched Sti blue injectors for my Legacy tgv delete, top feed parallel fuel rail conversion.
  6. Worn Bilstein shocks can also make a knocking noise. Also the front Bilstein shock bottom spring seat has a rubber pad which can wear and cause knocking when on full steering lock.
  7. There’s not alot of gain to be had really by replacing the down pipes on your model.I eventually did a single turbo conversion on my car with a Motec after market ecu and vf24 turbo.Theres plenty of information on this site for your model car using another ecu and single turbo as it is a popular conversion in NZ.
  8. Sorry,I thought you were in NZ.You can buy the Rage system direct from Autobend NZ in three parts, decat down pipes, center section with resonator and rear muffler.Manual only as the auto box is larger but can be made to fit.Haywood and Scott,England also sell a twin turbo exhaust system.
  9. Where are you.Pm me the details and price for the primary down pipe.
  10. Rage used to do a decat turbo tt exhaust.I’d be interested in your primary oem down pipe if the car hasn’t done big mileage.I had a decat Rage tt exhaust system on my 94 Rs.If you replace the rear muffler, don’t go to big as you can over spin the primary turbo.I modded a gc8 Sti muffler.
  11. Give Gareth a call and explain what’s going on.They are a good workshop and stand by there work.I had a solid center clutch plate installed by them and didn’t like it and they replaced it,no charge. Was that the twin scroll down pipe on Tm with the cat.
  12. Would it be possible if someone with a 08-14 Sti could measure the outside diameter of the metal fuel pipes which enter into the engine bay from the firewall.
  13. At least with the genuine cv boot you should get over 100,000 k’s plus.Non genuine 30,000 - 50,000 k’s if your lucky.
  14. I wouldn’t be surprised if the NZ spec cars have the poverty package. My NZ new 07 bl b4 2.0 has the 2.5 tacho.
  15. My NZ new Outback 3.0 had (F)294 x 24,replaced with 316 x 30 (R) 274 x 10 solid replaced with 290 x 18 vented.
  16. Still have factory mags, same as yours.Brakes from the bl b4 swapped straight over.Big improvement in braking. No more warping front original discs.Replaced cheap tyres with Michelin ps4’s.Inspires more confidence with the daily cut and thrust of Auckland city driving.
  17. @SpeedySub Best thing I did to my 07 Outback 3.0 was replace the brake calipers and disks with the larger brakes off my 07 bl b4 and put decent tyres on it.
  18. ProVent manual oe-products.mann-hummel.com Made in Germany but counterfit models available.Different sizes available rated in power output.
  19. If you want a decent but reasonable AOS look at what the diesel guys use.Made for high compression, intercooled engines.Im looking at this,ProVent 200.Can be run as AOS or VTA.Has some interesting additional features.
  20. This is how the later model Subaru pcv and internal engine oil baffles work, but without seperating all of the oil vapour before it is removed by the intake.
  21. Blowby from your crankcase can include oil, water vapour and unburnt fuel. With a AOS you ideally want only the oil returned to your crankcase. The better AOS cans are well baffled, include a water trap and are heated. The baffles and heat in AOS helps burn off the water and fuel which is removed by your intake leaving the oil to return to the crankcase.
  22. For the Legacy tt I’d look at using David at TuneTechnic,Henderson. He has done tuning for Subaru NZ with this model when they were sold new locally.
  23. As long as you don’t crash into something and nobody crashes into you,you shouldn’t have any problems.
  24. Most times I’ve removed tmic on various cars I fill the core up with petrol and have given them a good soak and clean.
  25. What’s the oil capacity of your engine.Loosing 1 litre of oil out of a oem twin scroll sump could be fatal with hard driving. The car also has to be dead level to correctly check the oil.
