    Manual conversion

Awesome will check in there. The dif is same ratio as gearbox. Only difference I can see is the rear halfshafts on the manual have the pins holding them in and the auto ones have no pins.
  4. Hey, long story short I got a 1997 forester which I got as payment for fixing a car and it was auto but the previous owner had started a manual conversion using bits out of a bc5. He put peddle box in and that's all. I have the gearbox, diff, driveshaft, halfshafts, a complete rear subframe assembly hubs etc aswell, everything needed to do the manual conversion. My question is do I use the hubs, halfshafts and what else out of the rear subframe of the bc5 would I need or can I use some of the Forrester gear? I also have a complete front subframe with hubs etc as well. How much of that would I need for the front or can I use the Forrester gear. Not sure if the halfshafts are the same length and the trailing arms etc. Any help would be awesome. Thanks
  5. Is it possible to put a electronic speedo drive bit in a gearbox that has the old speedo cable?
  6. Awesome thanks. Will give him a call tomorrow.
  7. That's algood, thanks. I think they should work, just thought I'd ask first lol.
  8. Hey, I have a motor out of a 1997 sf5 forester turbo and a 1990 bc5 legacy turbo motor. Will the heads off the forester motor work with the closed deck block of the legacy? Also are there any differences in the Pistons in each motor or can I keep the legacy ones in there or put forester ones in the closed deck? Any help would be awesome. Thanks
