How much to replace front brake hoses? I would do them my self but for some reason I always have problems trying to bleed the brakes. and takes me for ever to get the air out completely.
I got the new brake hoses.
On a SVX that had done 124,000 kms. Had been in a crash. side had been pushed in. only could tell when I stripped it down for parts. out side looks straight and smooth.
structure inside was all bent out of shape. Still drove well. Rego was dead so stripped it for parts.
Was a 2nd Hand Jap import.
Just a quick message to say gday u fullaz! Good to see u guys still on here hammering away. Still driving my brumby happily also, though Im on the motorbike more than the ute! Classic car, modern bike...Buells are simply tops. Unless u want to thrash in the bush or at the beach...and then just go for the hack.
Anyhow, just saw a tear in my CV boot and there\'s a bit of vibration happening in the wheel. 60 bux apparently gets a new CV from Trademe, but thought I should check with you guys first...Let me know if you have any suggestions for getting the part etc?
In other news, just scored a dash cover, new, for 15bux...fits perfect. Shame that in the last 2yrs a couple splits have formed but now i just cover them up and walk away!!
Got pics of Dash cover? I need one to cover my Dash on my RX.
I go get new CV and CV boots s from CV Specialists in CHCH. They told me they supply Subaru NZ with the boots.
Finally got around to pulling the hub and cv off the RX to replace the boots.
Just got to degrease it etc and put it in the car.
Noticed the brake hoses had cracks in it. So will have to get some new ones made.
I had talked to a guy that owned Possums old Rally RX.
They had the bhp up to 250+ BHP. And It was reliable too.
Rallyed it for many years with out any major problems.
ThatcCar still around but apparently was Re engined with a Legacy Turbo motor.
The Charging light, Brake warning light, Brake Fuild warning light is on from from idle to 2500 rpm.
It goes away from 2500 to 3700 rpm. After that those lights start glowing again. I also noticed a weird miss in the higher Revs.
Battery Hasn\'t gone flat so dont think its the alternator?
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Do the doors look familiar

I\'ve seen some dodgy stuff, but never that dodgy. I\'m in no way adept with a welder, but I know I could do better patchwork than that! I\'m sorry to say your old brumby was sold to bogans!
Maybe they let an apperice attack it with a welder and grinding/cutting disk ?
I can weld way better than that too. only problem is I dont have a welder to use so can\'t blame the previous owner for that shoddy workman ship. It has a new motor in it too. They only brought the truck for the motor. One brumby they restored blew the motor up so they quickly brought my one as an replacement.
On last saturday, I saw a beautiful looking Red 86 at the Miles Toyota Dealership.
Man it looked good. Had the wing on it too. I didn't see when I went past there the nxt day. I think It was getting picked up by new owners when I saw it.
I remember some one on here saying...
The Legacy 6spd is pretty much the 5 speed box with a 6th added. Not bullet prooth like the 6spd for the STI.
6spd STI box is completely different to the 6spd Legacy
I was originally going to fit the EG33 into my old Brumby. But would have kept it AWD and engine in front.
THE EG is still sitting around to be fitted into something.
I still got my Coupe that i may do it too.
Just need to get a place with a workshop I can work in.
