  1. Hey no cel codes when it misses. It hasn\'t had a cel code logged for a few years know but this miss had got worse? Boosts are at normal standard levels at misses eight through the turbo range from 3000 onwards much less noticeable on the flat.
  2. Ok re gapped to 0.75 seems to idle much much better doesn\'t and off boost its great it\'s just under boost its missing quite badly. It feels ignition related so possibly coils?
  3. Ok so haven\'t had a chance to check the coils or regap the plugs but it seems to be idling low as well and stalls at lights when cold. Seems real strange as it never did this before I changed the plugs and would a 1.1, gap cause this issue?
  4. Hey I was getting very poor fuel economy out of my BG5 Legacy GT so have replaced the spark plugs with 1.1mm gapped plugs. I have always had a miss under load but it seems to be worse now.. Checked the CEL codes and its so not sure what I should be looking for? Knock sensor, AFM, O2sensor? Re gap plugs would this help? What are people thoughts? Cheers
  5. Hey guys so doing a simple replacement of pads has turned a little harder than 1st thought. With the bottom caliper bolt off the caliper tilts up but I cant budge the top bolt. The pads wont fit in and I THINK the top pin has seized. Couple of questions. The top pin has no thread right it just a locating slider? Ive pulled the caliper and bracket off and am now trying to get it sliding on the pin. Any tips? cheers
  6. cheers mate. Is there a way to remove or move the rear covers without removing the cam gears?
  7. Hey guys, so I need to do some chassis work on the legacy and I need to remove the drivers side cambelt covers. I know the front ones are 3 piece so I can remove just the side I want but what is the rear. Is it 3 piece or one entire piece? cheers
  8. Well guys I made it there and back ok.. The only issue was the usual code 66 CEL when under load up a hill, fixed by dropping to 4th or 3rd.. Didnt have to use any tools either.. cheers for all the help and a huge shoutout to deathz0r. The only one to give me his details incase of issues..
  9. Ok dont know the car but thermostats are mechanically operated and dont usually have sensors..things may have changed with newer cars..and I never knew you could get a 3 digit code..again have things changed??
  10. Fantastic idea! Going down to Wellington from Palmy then up to Taupo..Not a huge trip but have had issues on shorter ones..If any members along this route wanted to Pm me their phone number and location JUST INCASE I need advice or if something fails on the trip. cheers guys much appreciated
  11. Hey guys going on holiday and taking the legacy. What tools do you think I need to take incase of issues.. Checklist: Ring and open end spanners 6,10,12,14,17 Sockets 10,12,14. extension and spark plug socket Small adjustable cresent Flat head and phillips screwdrivers 2 x pliers no needle nose yet. Rubber tubing for heater pipes Hose clamp Insulation tape Knife ? ? Lol as can be seen this man has had previous issues on long road trips..cheers guys
  12. cheers guys all the help is appreciated. How hard is it to get this manifold off and keep the gaskets reusable..It looks like this thing is friggen connected everywhere..
  13. Ok was just going to use some steel putty but if it is easy to find another part and replace I will do that.. So does anyone have this piece to sell? Also am I removing the entire inlet manifold to get this heater tube out?
  14. Ok update..with further investigating and testing Ive found a very small hole right on the second nib of the metal pipe..so right at the end where the rubber hose finished..so now I can either pull the manifold off and find a replacement or patch it up with some sort of chemi weld..Ideally I know what I would do but is chemi weld just as good an option?
