  1. In the market for an EZ30 Lancaster/outback although a lot of owners seem to use 91 regularly. My understanding was always that Subarus need 95 or 98 (especially turbo models). Is an EZ30 that's had 91 used in it regularly be a deciding factor as to whether I consider buying the car or not? Cheers and TIA.
  2. Hey Team, Have any of you had to replace an in tank fuel pump on a gen 4 3.0r Legacy? Looking around found that GOSS do a replacement pump for a good price, but different sources say to use one of two models (GE271 or GE272). Has anyone gone through this process? What brand did you use, who stocked it etc any info would be a great help. Cheers!
  3. Hey guys so recently my newly-bought WRX refused to start and the garage I got it towed back to who installed my alarm - have diagnosed it as a fuel pump issue. I'll need a new fuel pump put in. I just want to know if a quote of $550 is a fair price or am I getting ripped off? At the time of the fault I would have had the car for less than a month and I would have done less than 1000kms in it lol. So I'm preparing for a motor vehicle disputes tribunal case.. as a former employee of mvdt I think it could get to that stage.
  4. Hi guys, the car itself is running fine, and all dash lights, the speedo and the tacho are working well. The gauges are dead. I've had the cluster out and all appears ok to the naked eye. I have googled and seen a few others with this issue - some suggested the could be the 10A instruments fuse but that's fine. Another site suggested an earth issue somewhere around the under bonnet fuse box? Question one: if its an earth under the bonnet issue, where exactly would I look? Question 2: Anyone else have this issue and resolve it conclusively? TIA!
