How much fuel in reserve?

Yup my version 2 wrx came with no fuel light

had no idea i had no fuel light and run out of gas like 55 mtrs past a gas station hahaha. i had to leave it in gear and let the clutch out and bunny hop to the curb, and then i called roadside rescue because i didnt want to buy a petrol can.He couldnt believe i waited 45 mins for him when the gas station was just there, but hey thats what you get it for right?? lol

Once the "E" light is lit ON constantly, the reserve has to have 10 liters of petrol still. I think it is a regulation for manufacturers in the region to leave such an allowance. So the remaining kms depend on your car's fuel consumption. Keep in mind that the fuel pump has to pump harder near empty and the fuel consumption should go up.

lol to the last bit.....no reason for the fuel consumption to go up,if anything it will go down cause when going around corners when that close to running out will cause the small amount of fuel you have in the tank to slosh around causeing the pump to suck in air causeing a fuel surge hence using less gas........dont you know thats why you rock your car from side to side when run out while driving to get the last bit you can fron the tank cause of the wave of petrol hitting the fuel pump pick up as you rock it....lol always got me an extra few hundred meters and sumtimes enuf to get home or to a gas station ;D

you must have some mean people at your gas staions, when my brother ran out of gas, i stopped at teh gas staion, cost $20, for the tank and fuel to fill it, then when we brought the can back we got the money back excluding the cost of the fuel, which was used to put fuel in teh car anyway lol

btw the gunk all you guys are talking about isn't on the bottom of the tank, your pump always sits down there so would suck it up no matter what level you have, some things can float on top of the fuel and that can be sucked up when you run very very low
