Vodka? Um no. I have no idea if you can clean them or not but if you were going to I\'d suggest an electrical contact cleaner, something like CRC MAF sensor cleaner etc.

Vodka would actually be fine. Isopropyl alcohol is cheaper though.

Sooooo I was casually driving home in the rain last night and it got me thinking. The rain was so heavy I couldn\'t see about 10-15 meters ahead of me. Should I be concerned about the amount of water that could of potentially got into the engine bay via the bonnet scoop?

I\'m sure the Subaru engineers took it into consideration when they designed the car, was just curious is all

When changing down, or even up a gear, there\'s a knocking type noise coming from the rear. Is the backlash from the rear diff?

my guess would be that rear diff mounts are rooted maybe?

Is there a simple way to check if the mounts are rooted? Neither sound good tbh.

i don\'t know how to test to be sure!

Maybe try raise the rear end and try moving hte diff front to rear/side to side? when mine were rooted i could tell by just looking at the mounts in the rear subframe as they weren\'t centered but rather sacked down!

now i have nolathane mounts!

your natural ramp rates will change a bit, and might affect your PID\'s if your link is capable and MAY net in some mild surge.

otherwise no for the most part if should go just fine.

abdul - yours is probably the most extreme gearbox change you can do in terms of overall gearing shift.

ya i know, im asking as i need to go back for a re-tune but don\'t know if i should wait till i change gbox or just do it now!

im still waiting on my diff and drive shaft to be here which is probably by the end of next week and im heading overseas the week after and won\'t be back till new years!

so tune now and gbox next week, or gbox next week and tune on hold till January!! hmm decision decision!!

ok dumb Q whats the ratio of my nz new gearbox?

as i know i have a long rev range compared to a jap import, as when there changing gear i\'m still revving out.

how would we know that if you haven\'t provided your gearbox code

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
