and the v7 sti has a compression ratio of 8.01:1 so i would think i could also factor that in to the fuel mixture :o

There are loads of different rear axles. You can\'t mix and match much at all. I think fronts are easier.

talk to waiuku if you can\'t find what you need.

its more the inner CV\'s that are different axles are the same with obvious r160 / r180 allowance, but as tony pointed out in 6speed land they are all indentical at the rear end.

ymmv on r160 and or GC stuff.

Just wondering as to the NZ regulations of Cat converters? Are they required?

Planning on running a full exhaust system from turbo. Where\'s the best place to get one? (For a GC8)

The new old axle may have a limited lifespan also...buy new for the win.

you can currently get cert for engine conversions with no cat if it didnt have one orignally . eg s13

TM is the easy way...get a decent secondhand one. I just got a 3" cat back welded up with one bend, cost $60 I supplied materials at my local.

Forgive me sounding stupid but what is a "cat back"?

Exhaust goes manifold - up pipe - turbo - down pipe - middle/intermediate pipe - tail pipe

Your cat is likely in your down pipe so cat back is middle and tail. Subaruspeed.co.nz have cheap exhausts often. The biggest gain is in the downpipe and also a stock size up pipe without the flexi the dyno shows 10kw there.

I test drove a V3 STi today and noticed that when in gear there was a bit play (wobble, looseness whatever you want to call it) in the gear stick. Is this normal? If not how hard/expensive is it to fix?
