funny thing is in real world its a different story dunno why ??? pappu has driven it with a car full and he thought it was a vf turbo until i told him its a td06, maybe coz 4000rpm to 4500 or to 5000rpm arent too far apart by this i mean its like 500 to a 1000rpm so if im going up hill ill rev it to 4500rpm in 4th and have around 140kw to go up that hill i mean the same principle could apply to a stock turboed car making very low power at say 2000rpm, i wouldnt go up a hill at that rpm if the car starts to struggle..... so in my case i would just rev it up 500rpm more or another 1000rpm more and have a bit over 220kw but in real world driving i havent really had any problems with it going up hills or so :) and its not lazy at all as it gains a lot of power in few rpms so acceleration is very brutal, it does start off low but it covers a lot of ground between 3 to 5000rpm....also have ran near flat 12 with this turbo at 232kw so very happy with the result

Its good that you're happy with it because that's all that matters. It should do very well on the drag strip if that's what you've built it for. I just think it will become a whole lot more drivable for the same or more power with a better turbo. But like i said all that matters is that you're happy with it

Yea i know what you mean :) it wont be as torquey as yours on low revs no way lol but i dunno i havent really felt any problems with its drive-ability so far ;D

when i drove it i honestly thought it was a vf22 as was very much like the vf22 i had at the time only when u hit 4500rpm it went ballistic!! :o

brutal acceleration = the best fun of owning a turbo car.. ;D

on normal days 60kw is more than enough to pootle around town with...

my mums toyota echo possibly makes less than 60kw ever and yet is perfectly fine for a normal drive down to the shops or visit aunt betsy in katikati township even with a car full of rallies going down for a visit...

V7 engine, extracotrs, link g4, turbo exhasust etc etc etc. It will be alot better when i upgrade the injectors and alter some stuff

Yeah not really tuned how I want it though, but no point mucking around with a tune when your injectors are maxxed though. New injectors then a new map and tune should be able to get it where I would like it.

can i ask who made your twisted setup?

A personal friend Stix - (Stix Fabrication) did most of the weilding and sorting the clearance and then I did all off the brackets for front facing and water oil lines etc. Wasn't too hard, depends on what setup your indending on using though.

this is true,i hear the v5 v6 gearboxs and the best you can get fot the 5mt,aparnt from a newer bug eye 5 speed box whch ud think would be abit stronger?

Nah they cant take the beating, Running a V5 Gearbox, with a solid PBMS Clutch.

1999-2000 gtb have same gear box number as a v5 and v6 sti ty754vbaaa ;D so same box

Having driven both I'm pretty certain the throw is significantly less on the STI Box, but if you put the GTB Box into the STI its much of a muchness and it is a difference in the shifter not the box.

I currently run a GTB Box in my V5 and until the bushes all shat themself it was exactly the same as the factory box and the 3 or so STI Boxes I blew before that one.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
