hi, i did try to search but didnt get very far and want a trustworthy answer as i know tuning can be a dangerous game if in the wrong hands.

is there any reliable tuning companies in our area that could help with advice, tuning and supplying good quality parts for my v3 type r?

look to Chch or futher north tuning, and get a range of opinions, thay all have ther own ideas, a good idea is find a car and owner that has done what you want and just copy.

thankyou for your advise i will have a look around and see what i can find. only reason i asked is because i only got here from the uk 2 months ago so dont really know anyone and dont really know anything about any of the companies! in the uk we had loads of tuners in my area but only a hand full were reliable and knew what they were doing but this isnt easy to find out without using them because its easy to have a nice workshop, say the things you want to here and as they say have all the gear and no idea lol so was more after peoples experiences with people and who to stay clear of. will keep searching but havent been having alot of luck.

NZEFI in CHCH have a pretty good rep, a close mate of mine got his V5 GC8 sti tuned there, real helpful and explained the process and answered all questions he had noobish or not, they can also supply parts out of house. I myself have a V3/4 sti type r that i plan on taking there for a new ecu and tune once the ol coin and partner allows lol

John at Spec Performance is a good man to talk to in CHCH also. Ive had a few mates deal with him in various types of cars and he managed to give them good results, nice guy to deal with to.
