Hmm that's very confusing then as it would appear after reading through all 10 pages in this thread that people with Rev D have done it...

Well, the thing is that you're changing of the hoses on the revisions A/B/C to match what Rev. D should be.

So if you're changing something on the Rev. D, then something ain't right haha.

Also, since Rev. D is reflashable, just take it to SAS and get a tune :P Safer and better than doing a mod to bring boost pressure up haha

Hi!

i did the Hose 10

mod in a BE5 D 2001/12 with re-written ECU BOV Center pipe and Back pipe changed, i was running almost the same as without the mod with the difference of when hitting 4.000+ rpm the engine started to knock, so I reverted it again. But no idea why it was knocking too much boost? Vacuum leak?

i live in Japan and petrol is 96 to 100 Ron so I wouldn’t  say it was caused by low quality petrol, and after i reverted it works totally fine solid boost all range and knocking is gone!

Shall i try the Hose #1 mod?

Cheers from Japan!

Hiya!

The Hose 10 mod only works on earlier gen legacys. The reason being, is because the hose 10 mod, actually brings the cars in line with how the revision D is setup ;)

Cheers,

Dairusire

haha well it's always good to try things out :)

Should post up some photos of your car on the forums! I'm sure some people on here would be interested to see more JDM goodness.

Hello guys,

I read all the threads line by line and was eager to implement the hose 10 mod on my 1999 GF-BE5 (BE5A48T). So, I did exactly that. What I noticed:

1. Boost is good at lower rev range and it was really fun, however, I only got 0.4bar = 8psi on primary.

2. But boost tend to drop soft at higher rev range, looks like secondary Turbo not kicking after the mode.

I noticed, there is also another T piece (as encircled red in attached image) connecting three lines: hose 10 that goes into a metal piece (encircled yellow) and another hose 10 which comes from behind the battery side and then to third hose that comes from Turbo intake beneath as shown.

The blue hose is the one I have disconnected and blocked from first T between BOV and intake Manifold then ran straight grey hose as highlighted green.

(DWf8yph.jpg?1).

How do we handle the second T piece? Could it be the one making me not achieve the best end result?

So the atmosphere no.10 hose and the no.10 hose from bbod line both t off and go into inlet. so do you leave that little t section in place and run both atnosphrre line and bbod into t piece. Because you cant just run bbod no.10 line straight to inlet as that would expose atmosphere line that comes from guard?

I was messing around with this the other day and found out something interesting.

If you swap lines 5 & 6 (if I remember correctly)

And then do the hose 10 mod.

You will see the turbos boost up to 23-24 psi, it did not trigger error 66 either.

Obviously running this high boost on a stock engine is tempting fate, but it did absolutely rip

This was on my rev a gtb

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
