Whats happening to 98?

I went to fill up at my local BP, and they are no longer selling 98!

Is there anywhere else in CHCH that this has happened? I thought people might want to know.

only BP ROLLESTON and BLENHEIM are going to be selling 98 from now on from what i have heard.

BP on the corner of Sparks road and Hoon Hay road were still selling it last time i was there on Saturday

Tim was told that only 13 stores nation wide will now be stocking it.

I doubt it\'s due to lack of demand though I see people buying it all the time.

Would be nice for another chain to take up higher octane fuels.

I wonder whats going to happen to all the imports NZ brings in that should/need to run on 100 and then get run on 95?

BP Ultimate 98 is a very popular product with our customers and we have taken a proactive approach to ensure we can continue to keep supplying to our customer where we can. We have selected 13 sites nationwide where BP Ultimate 98 will be removed and replaced with Premium 95. This will be a permanent arrangement.

BP has insufficient supply to meet current forecast demands and action had to be taken in order to prevent a nationwide stock out.

The BP website will be updated as soon as possible with relevant information.

So its not 13 sites nationwide that WILL stock it. Its 13 sites nationwide that will be removed and replaced. Hopefully i can still get it somewhere in Dunedin. Andy bay rd BP still stocking it as of yesterday
