Tuning with tactrix and romraider in Welly?

Im gonna go tactrix - chinese cable is ok to log but if it bricks my ECU while flashing, I would be a bit more than pissed lol

That sounds rather useful.

Sometimes just plugging in the scan tool to get fault codes is a mission haha

Definitely looks like a good unit but:

Tactrix 2.0 - $214 + $25 for shipping = $239ish

Evoscan 1.3U - $174 + $10 Shipping = $184ish

And apart from the flash SD card logging there isnt much more the tactrix can do over the Evoscan cable... and for $55 difference....

The 1.3u cable is limited to subies older than 2004 iirc, pre can-bus. Sure, its fine if you will never need to help out a mate with a late model subie pluss theres no pissing around to find a version of ecu explorer (to read / write the ecu) as its designed to use the tactrix one lol

i actually have a copy of the evoscan software, be interesting to see the difference between logging speeds of that and the romraider digital dash

Fair enough, the thing about the tactrix is its known to work well. Evoscan cable is a bit of a gamble. I think the speed is limited more by the car than anything else isn\'t it?
