N/A EJ20 power. B Sport

So after a family trip to New Plymouth over Easter I have come to find that I need a bit more usable power. so here are a few questions.

Cat back vs full exhaust, is there a big difference in the gains?

Induction, Pod or can a quick and easy piping job into the factory air box and better quality panel filter work.

Pulleys, back in the day I read in hot 4\'s/fast fours about GFB pulleys being lighter and increasing response. will this work on an N/A setup? does or has anyone used then?

Leads & coil packs, is there any gains in aftermarket stuff?

Dont flame me please. no "Get a turbo" or "should have got a GT-B". because all I could say is yea I know, but I love the wagon I have.

Cheers

B

My thoughts are if there are any gains to be had on this motor it would probably come from tuning. Run a high octane fuel and bump up the timing as much as safely possible. However, in order for it to be cost effective, you would need to do the tuning yourself unless you know someone with a dyno and a charitable personality.

I don\'t think an intake and exhaust would do much for this motor so save your cash for something else.

Being blunt any power gains you do manage will be a) up the top of the revs anyway and b) not really noticable on the road

you\'re up against it with a non performance smallish motor in a reasonably large car to be honest, you could spend $2k on pulleys exhausts etc etc and gain sweet f-a in the real world apart from noise and reduced resale value

placebo effect will say yeah it feels faster but you wont really feel the 5-10hp you could potentially gain unless youve got the stopwatch out

that said i am a massive fan of placebos so long as it doesnt get slower and doesnt cost much

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
