Dunedin - sti engine cold start "jerky"

Time for a new service, where in Dunners would i send this baby to be worked on? In town is best but willing to go the distance.

Anyway, when it\'s warm there is no problems but sometimes when you first start it the throttle response is shaky, jerky at low revs.

I have not changed the spark plugs or the leads - it\'s 2000 bugeye jdm no mods, runs 98 bp fuel, using 0-40 mobil 1.

Should i change both? What else to do once there - i\'m told by mcleod it\'s a bit of work to get to the spark plugs but when i asked what else should i do once he gets there he says erm ... A tune up ... But then he can\'t explain what a tune up is ...

Thanks

Later stuff has a bit of a subtle stumble when cold but once its up to temp its fine sort of a safe I think. Unsure if thats what you mean or worse. I put up a thread asking when I got my V5 as my V6 forester was the same but everyone had the same issue in pretty much everything phase 2.

When\'s your cam belt due? As they get close to change time they\'ve stretched and the cam and crank position sensors can get a tiny bit out of time and can cause a miss.

Not saying it\'s the issue here but something to consider nonetheless. Happened to me.

cambelt\'s already been done. but the *&^% cheapie owner didn\'t do the water pump I think *sigh

anyway, so I gather head to sim\'s brothers, change spark plugs, and the cold cough cough jitter jitter is normal

Yeah come into work and we can do the spark plugs ... we can check the resistance of the leads too and if there may be one that has high resistance when cold causing the cough?? could be a number of things but thats a really good place to start. We aren\'t too busy tomorrow afternoon from memory so If you want to drop it in for an hour or so we could change them for you and check the leads .... or give us a ring 4771110.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
