Good Dunedin Mechanic/Garage?

Hey all,

Just wanting some suggestions for a good, reputable mechanic here in Dunedin.

Wanting to get cars ECU read and just a general check up to make sure everything is all good.

I know Southern Motor Court is the Subaru agent here but not all that keen in going there unless I have to.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

I found Sim Bro\'s quite good on Anzac Ave. Would never go to Southern...

I had bad alternator whine, but there was also a rumble somewhere else in that region. Couldn\'t pin it down so took it in. They stripped the alternator, found the back was sealed? Couldn\'t be rebuilt, so got a second hand one fitted as new ones are $$$. Then pulled apart the p/s pump, no noise, a/c pump no noise, and found the problem of a nearly seized tensioner, fixed that - fixed all the issues. Still was only parts and around 1.75hr labour -so was pretty good.

Mint they sound like the place to go, that amount of labour for that is pretty reasonable eh.

Will book her in there unless someone wants to run their expert eye/ear over my car before I do?

Just got a funny idle I think but maybe it\'s normal, I\'m not sure. So if anyone was keen that\'d be awesome.

Can run my scanner over it if you like. Can find any errors and what things are operating at etc.
