Sti coilpack setup on bc5

Hi there guys. I\'ve read through Reuben\'s single turbo conversion thread on how to do this but was wandering how much harder it would be to do on a bc5. I\'ve got a version 4 Sti engine loom at my disposal lol

think he means EFI wasted spark conversion. you\'d need a newer non-turbo ecu and associated sensors/bits. do-able i guess but a LOT of mucking around as there isn\'t much info on the non-turbo pinouts that i\'ve seen

its a turbo rs with a possumlink

Coilpack? Unsure how theyre set up but I just bought a V9 sti cop setup wired to run wasted on V5/6 that plugs straight into the loom.

yea the wasted spark style instead of that coil on plug setup. hmmm engine loom the same? wanna do it because its cheaper more reliable and less wires in engine loom. was just wandering if i needed to re-pin ecu like you have to in the single turbo conversion since i already got a sti engine loom

Go onto DOBC there is write up on how to do it

have seen it done is super easy, and works alot better

saw the post and recommended thread but no actual info on "HOW TO" just says its a good conversion.

I have asked said people that did it to write one up, but i had it explained to me when i was down last and it was pretty easy,

you need the leads and coil from a 250t with the longer wires, and then you wire it into the ignitor. thats how i understand it and its just a case of matching the wires, no need for any ecu modification, but as i said i saw the end results

So I can\'t use the 5 pin ignitor that the Sti uses?

yeah as far as i know but i would ask the question on DOBC as Reuban did it and knows the thing

jst did this conversion on my bc .so theirs 3 wires of the v3/4 coilpack the middle wire is the power and the wires on the left and right r the signal .cut the wires of old coils the yellow is signal n red is power .connect the signal from cylinder 1 and 2 then conect the signals from cylinder 3 and 4 .then connect the signal wire to the coil pack .i think thats how it went lol
