Wheel alignments in Christchurch, who can actually do a good job?

I\'m in need of a wheel alignment for my Subby. I\'ve had some pretty poor alignments in the past, sometimes requiring me to take my car back multiple times before it stops trying to steer me off the road, and given that the Legacy has more adjustments than my old Nissan I\'d like to take it to somewhere that actually knows what they\'re doing.

Can anyone recommend a good alignment shop?

Hi Tech & Wheel Alignment are the ones I use.

I\'ve taken my car there many times for various little things including tires and alignments, always good customer service and Jason is a good bloke to deal with.

I\'m at Specialised Power Steering at the moment. Rang them and they said bring it in now. Almost done so well see if the alignment seems any good.

A guy at work recommended that place but I couldn\'t remember the name, damn.

Not very impressed. Steering wheel isn\'t straight (although tyres are worn unevenly so probably can\'t be too hard on this one) and still have positive camber on front left despite mentioning that he should check the camber twice. Reading was 0.30 deg, spec is 0.35 to -1.35 so said it was within spec and didn\'t want to set the machine up on the car again. Sure it\'s within spec but it\'s positive for effs sake. No one drives a 3.0 Spec B Leggy and wants positive camber on the front wheels.

3/10 wouldn\'t recommend Specialised Power Steering for wheel alignments.

Now I have to pull the wheel off and set the camber bolts back to the factory paint marking myself

Try Murray Beatson Wheel Allignments , hes in Columbo Street at edgeware end .

Tell him what you want and he will do it , ie extra camber.

Tony at RDL does mine, old skool styles but just as effective.

the problem is you have a car with fuck all ( read negative ) castor and without correcting the castor ( by changing parts ) they have to guess( adujst other things to cover it up ) what will make the car go straight down a cambered road .

ive had nothing but bad alignments .

even when telling them how you want it they just don\'t listen and change nothing.

ill borrow a camber gauge and just do it myself from now on . unless there\'s someone that will do it how i want it

Yep sorry team I left some time ago to pursue other opportunities. Most of the crew I worked with and trusted have moved on to other business.
