GFB G-Force 2 Boost Controller Issues...

35 posts in this topic

Those gfb controllers are very very easy to use mate. Did you read the manual start to finish? I can upload mine if you need... my memory is fuzzy but I think after you adjust anything you have to take it for a drive for it to save the settings or it resets back to what was previously used

^adjust the duty cycle, leave it in the duty cycle adjust page and give it a run. It'll save your peak boost and use that as the reference for sensitivity

Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it.

slystiguy I agree, however mine just isn't doing what its meant to... I don't have an original manual, just a brief one I found online. Its does mention the duty cycle adjusts the boost level, however mine has the same settings but will not boost 21 no matter what I try... Fitted an HKS EVC 3 into my Type R and its so easy to use, wish I had gone this route rather than GFB in my RA...

kwi_fozze Thanks, I'll give it a try this wkend. Adjusted the duty cycle, but returned to main menu once adjusted (no change)

I can't understand why the first few settings still work, but nothing above 15.7 psi... All saved settings have same duty cycle, sensitivity & gain.

I think you need to check over how it's setup and make sure you don't have anything silly like boost leaks or lose wiring to the controller things like that.

Here's the original manual which has a lot of good information so I encourage you to save these photos and read them top to bottom. You need to test duty cycle in a higher gear 3-4-5 to avoid overboost. I set mine up on the highway in the middle of nowhere so I could do sneaky 3rd to redline pulls.

Brilliant, thanks a lot for the manual. Appreciate it man. That's certainly a lot more comprehensive than the one I have.

I'll play around this wkend (if it doesn't rain) and report back.

Cheers

Haha... Appreciate you taking the time. Couldn't open the PDF either and got tired of trying to access it via the GFB website.

Just got back from a good thrash, thanks a lot for the advice. The car is back to running 21!

I adjusted the duty to 70% did a run (leaving it in duty mode) and hit just over 18 psi. Saved this setting, did another run on 75% duty and hit 21psi. Still have the stock STI exhaust on (from WOF on Thurs) but didn't notice too much of a difference.

Yea of course haha. Does it work for you? It says cannot read file when I open it which is weird. Using latest adobe version.

Glad you got it sorted scooby. Those controllers are mint so don't part with it.

Hi all. So I've just seen on Facebook about a thing called The Gumboot rally it's on the weekend of the 7th of April. Goes from Hamilton somewhere down to New Plymouth then across to Taupo and also includes The Forgotten Highway which is an awesome road to drive, as I have done it a few times now. If you are interested go have a look on Facebook should be a fun weekend I reckon.

Stay safe on the roads over this time there are some CRAZY people out there who only think about themselves!!

Help me please Hi iv fitted a dump valve to my vectra c 19 cdti 150 bhp. The 1 I bought was a twinport or receculation valve I don't no just bought and had a go of fitting it my self.  On looking at the car I thought I needed to block the 2nd port so have done bought a t and fitted it on the main intake Of The top Of The intercooler to the inlet on to Of The head.  Ran the bleed pipe and td it in to the on top Of The intake now it's just realeasing through the revs rather than when I lift of it's not because I blocked the other port is it thanks
