Link G4+ New Releases

I was speaking to NZEFI early in March about the G4+ Extreme and was told to hold off for a while, with rumours of a new release not far away. With a built in wideband AFR controller and a few other new features out of the box, that were only upgradeable features on the original G4+ Xtreme.

New G4+ Black Xtreme with built in e-throttle and closed loop knock control:

Wondered when you would publicize this. Looks like vipec case.

Hate the price of these now they just arent in the reach of most people any more. Wish they did a trimmer version for non race people like the g4 but single fuel map only with knock/wideband. Something anyway 2k- plus solenoid/iat/xs loom/wb/knock sensor is just far too much.

It's dirt cheap. And unless you need the extra fancy motorsport type stuff or a large array of inputs/outputs, I don't see why it wouldn't do the job?

The old atom couldnt run a v5/6. My plug in g4 has no spare slots now and i dont run ac. Havent looked at the g4+ but was sure it still couldnt run a v5. Idle stepper is 4 for a start. Could swap mani etc but again its more money.

Its not plug in either so majority of people would be paying an auto sparkie 80+ an hour for install.

The standard ECU is good for none race type people.

Have you put an expanded loom on it? That was about 4 outputs from memory on my one.

ooooohhhhh these new Link's look good, got me thinking all the silly things I could do with them!! anti-lag, launch control, high-low boost settings at the switch of a button, flat shifting. wait on you can get those set up on some stock ecu's??

I really don't see the point in getting the fury when you could get the Black extreme for the same price.

You can do all of that on the old g4. Not all factory ecus can be fcked with in nz and not many exp tuners do it or even want to do it. With link anybody will tune it and they underststand the platform yielding better and safer results.
