If you want some space I think you should get a legacy wagon. But for 2k it is quite hard to get a good one, you may need to wait for a while, otherwise it would be high kms. You can get this one for low price if you lucky:

Tbh, with that price rance and the purpose, I suggest to find a honda or toyota, same reliable + much easier to find a good one.

Just my 2c

+1 , 3K gets you way more options, id be weary buying any turbo Subaru with over 180,000kms.

My pick based on quick TradeMe search would be this NA Wagon (Clutch done and Cambelt done)

At the risk of getting flamed if cheap and reliable are key then perhaps Toyota Corolla ??

Thanks for the suggestion. I might check Hondas and Toyotas too.

Twin turbo Legacy wagon of 96ish era. Awesome bang for buck and can find the odd really tidy one for around 3k. Because theyre family car theyre comfy with ample gogo. Generally slightly cheaper than the non turbo slugs which are equally as comfy but thirsty as you need to hoof it to get yp hills etc with the turbo its a cruise so more economic unless you get excited and fang it everywhere.

My advice is that ask for paperworks or what they did for the car. The longer the list, the better the car. If he/she took care of the car, they will know what they did for it. Also pay more attention to the interior and mechanical condition (weird noise, gear changing smooth or not, cambelt). Might take a while but good luck with that mate :)

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
