BL BP Exhaust Thread

Recommended Posts

A couple of vids. I have actually gone back to stock mufflers since then, but I love the way car sounds with the Ultrex can on it.

Nice. I was going to do that to mine but they are still in the garage. Thanks for saving me the effort.

That's why I had mine replaced. The 2 layers had separated and it was rattling around inside making a horrible noise.

Hey sobanoodle, if you don't mind me asking. What did that cost for the fitting and fabrication. Would be good to get a benchmark. Mine was about $520 to get the front section made and the headers fitted

I am now rocking the stock mufflers - the noise was nice but just too much for me. Hate the look of the stockies and need to come up with an alternative solution... :/

Anyone got a pair of Fujitsubo mufflers?

So, spec b gt mufflers make f**k all difference to tone or volume over the factory mufflers

Pretty sure they are identical other than the tips

Quads are definately the way to go but still reckon those ones are just a touch to big to fit nicely into the cutouts

Yeah but it does look a million times better than the massive novelty oversize muffs many have

Remember you don't have to use subaru specific tips, like most exhaust places have a variety of generic twin tips to suit stuff like BMW's & falcoons & holdens etc

If it looks the part then jam it on and roberts your mothers brother - it's purely a visual thing remember

Even this might look right, just measure the hole and see http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/performance/exhaust/auction-970016783.htm - if it looks right then its a simple case of cutting the old tip off your stock mufflers and putting this in place

hmmm. That autobend site gives me all kinds of terrible ideas. Maybe full custom is the way to go then afterall. Could almost hack something up myself with some spot welds and get a pro welder to do it nicely.

Got some pricing. The tips are between $75 and $80 for the twins.

RPY005 and RPY006 $79.00 inc gst Each

RPY048 $75.00 each inc gst

So not really that cheap. But cheaper than STI quads by a fair margin.

Kinda tempted to grab a couple of those twin tips and get them put on my factory mufflers
