Advice on Insurance repair job.

Hello,

So I got rear ended about a week ago. I am fully insured and the other driver has admitted fault. He is also insured. What I want to know is where the best place in Auckland is to go to get my car repaired and repainted?

I have a 2000 impreza sti RA limited edition it's got that blue paint job with the fleck colour in it. I clearly won't stand for anything other than a full repair with a paint job that is immaculate. I am just unsure where to take it and how to make sure that if it's not matched exactly that I can get it done again.

Any tips or advise? I really don't want to accept anything other than a perfect job as it was in great condition before the crash and i don't want to lose the value of the car.

I don't know any places in AK, but if the repair isn't to your liking you tell them to do it again,

just like you would if you were paying for it yourself.

When my legacy got rear ended I went to Main Autocentre (Gavin Street Penrose). Took quite a long time but got perfect colour match and came back better than before the crash. If you dont mind waiting I would definitely recommend them

Check with your insurer. Sometimes they specify a painter but if you kick up enough fuss you can go whomever as long as they are MTA? I think thats the group.

Normally your insurer will have a list of approved repairers. Ask them for that list, and go from there.

I know Wagstaff on Marua road in Ellerslie do a good job. Their work is immaculate from what I have seen.

Orange on view road, henderson did my car in the subie blue and turned out better than before. However took more than a month to fix only cause they ordered a new door and guard from japan as coupe parts here were no good. But your insurer has a list usually of repairers they have and with state they said if u use their repairer on their list u get life time workmanship guarantee. If u use someone outside of the list of repairers its only covered for a certain period for workmanship

I went to Peter Hendriks Panel & Paint for my car.

They've been in the business for over 25 years and are an approved repairer for most insurance companies.

Really easy to deal with, organised a courtesy car and I was really pleased with their high standard of work.
