07 Legacy GTB Ride Height

Does anyone know or can meause the height from the centre wheel to guard on factory suspension for the rear wheels? I would greatly appreciate it!

Could do so this arvo since i'm still rocking nana spec. Obviously my wheel diameter is ever so slightly different to the stock wheels

Centre of the wheel to arch should be constant regardless of wheel size.

Yep. From the top inner of the rear guard to the centre of the wheel was 350mm

haha I seen a cop try & measure a car like that once on one of them motorway patrol things, except the other way around centre of rim to ground.....

Thanks mate, currently have lowering springs which are the perfect height in the front but im a little low at the back (too poor for coilovers at the moment). They dropped me about 45mm down to 305mm and its a tyre rubbing party down there even with the guards rolled too . Itd be nice to find something with around 20-30mm drop to suit the look.

Have you considered getting saggy butt spacers? Would probably even it up quite nicely

I put it this way: are you 100% positive you have wagon specific springs? Common issue, especially with STI pinks as there is almost no way to identify them.

Imho that looks like sedan springs to me, way too much of a sag.

You may be right, you seem to be the expert.

If you check STI spring ratings sedan and wagon rears will be different. Sedan bum is ligher than wagon. Same applies to the front but not as crucial, i.e. 3.0 heavier than 2.0 hence different part numbers. Search for 41 Automotive thread re: STI springs group order, some good info there (that is if you are interested to know of course)

Thinking the same as sobanoodle, just too much lower to be anything else considering it was even before the swap. From what i've seen they don't actually list the rates as being any different between 3.0/gt and wagon/sedan but there is obviously some minor difference there.

You get rid of the other rims or just have them off till you get this sorted?

Definitely seen the rates for BH/BE, will try to find them when I get home.

I had the springs put in before the rims were put on, its just an old pic I had

BL/BP shows the same ratings for wagons and sedans

Could be length maybe. Half/quarter coil longer for the wagons to achieve the same drop whilst keeping the same rate.

If anyone needs some awesome ride height for a BP5 wagon in future but cant afford coilovers id suggest the following:

Get Jamex super lows in the front

Get Tein S-Tech Street's in the back

Buy some extra cusion for the tein springs to prevent clunking when at high speeds hitting bumps

Should cost around $350-$400

The outcome looks like the below, people assumed I was running juddies but I just managed to get the perfect height with cheap gear
