Turbo upgrade TF035 from SH Forester

Just trying to find a suitable upgrade in NZ for an upgrade on my punny little TF035 (with flange on compressor side) in the 08+ SH Foz.

The guys is Oz do a VF52 from a V11 STI 2.5L & the VF46 from a 2.5L Legacy.

What do we get here? I'm assuming the TF035 is single scroll.

Any suggestions? Can I swap it to say a older style VF turbo with the hose mount?

Christ that 35 is small . Makes a tdo4 look big lol . The flanges and all that look the same and people swap them with a tdo4 from a blob eye so id say anything will fit .

Yup the 35 is silly.

The most of the turbo's have the hose fitting.

But the SH Foz, GRB Impreza and some Legacy's have the flanged compressor housing which bolts directly to the intercooler, ie what I have with the TF035. I'm wondering if I can cut of the flange fitting on the intercooler and have a pipe welded to it? That way I can run the older style VF turbo.

Get an aftermarket intercooler with it and you'll be sussed

Thats a bit of a clusterfk . They only issue I see is your cat needs the compressor outlet to point right where the vf housing needs the actuator can to be . There will be a solution but id need the bits infront of me . You in chch ?lol

The connection to the intercooler could be cut off td and welded to trimmed vf comp cover . Or cut the flange off ( or make a new one ) the td and make it suitable for a silicone 45 deg bend . Cut n trim the vf comp cover to fit into said 45 deg elbow
