Hiring out Ruapuna Racetrack?

Just a bit of a random question hopefully someone can answer.

 

I am turning 40 in January and was thinking about hiring out Ruapuna for maybe a half day. Anyone know if this is possible and if so how much.

I have had a bit of a google search and haven't come up with anything about hiring the track that is current. I will contact them if no one knows here or if its a reasonable cost.

The idea will be get some club members and friends together to have a bit of fun on the track.

yea just ring the track, last Time I hired Manfield for a "megameet" was around $3500, things have changed a bit since then tho

 

as in requirements for ambo potentially to be there & a 'instructor' or person they trust to oversee activity

Hmmm a bit more money than I was thinking, but will have a look and see.

Having a look at the web pages it seems that ambo may need to be there (can't remember seeing one when I popped out to the Mini club track day, but wasn't really paying attention to that sort of thing).

I'm curious to hear what they respond with, as we looked at hiring out Teretonga a few years back, and required emergency services etc, which is what put us off, due to the cost.

Just heard back about hiring out Ruapuna.

Unfortunately they do not do private track hire anymore. Closest thing is to find a track day that is around that time. 

Sorry guys, was hoping to have a fun day where I could get we could have a spin round.

Will look into seeing if there is a trackday around that time and still have something out there to celebrate my birthday or maybe just have a meet and cruise somewhere.

Good thought, didn't think about that track.

Will look into it and see. Only problem is its a long way home if something breaks o goes bang.

Yeah that's one of the down sides sadly.

Have just emailed Levels, I asked about private hire and also about their 'Test' days.

I will see what they come back with for prices and availability and then figure out what to do.

Ok, so Levels emailed back and they don't do private hire. There is test days on a Friday, but At this point it looks like too much effort for how far way it is.

So I think I will just organize a meet and cruise around the time of my Birthday.

Will post an invite closer to the time and find out who's keen.

Yeah, I think its due to the new H&S laws. Too many regulations and policies to put in place to make sure they comply. Can totally understand from their end though.
