Link G4+ WRX V2/RS Legacy Speed sensor issues

Hey,

 

So I've asked on the Link forums, but thought I may ask here too.

Has anybody else had an issues with the V2/RS Plugin ECU not reading your speed sensor?
I've had this on two vehicles so far, and in both cases they've had the Mechanical Speedo, and that works perfectly fine.

I will be putting the link into another RS this week, and will find out if that also will have the same issue.

I'm considering swapping to an electronic cluster just to get a direct wire to the ECU from the speed sensor, but still unsure on this as well.

There is a speed wire to the ecu in my rs. Mine is a wire in link but has a mechanical speedo and the link reads it. I wonder if the speed pin doesn't match between V1/2 and the legacys, might need a simple pin swap to get it working.

make sure you have the pull up resistor turned on, i had the same issue on my car with mechanical speedo

I have had an issue many times. It's a very weak signal out of dash and usually get random speeds rear with dropouts every so often.

I got the link in last night, but having issues connecting, so trying to find my spare brand new USB cable....

The good news is that the car starts on it, so the ECU isn't stuffed, I just think the USB cable may be playing up.

Will try the pull up resistor as soon as I can connect though.
