My 08 STI

Kinda new to the forms, but thought id post something about me/my car, i have a 2008 nz new STI hatch with the ej257, ive had it for just over 2 years, about 6 months ago tho i had it cheaked out and discoveredit had ringland failure pretty bad on 2 of the cylinders, so its had a full rebuild by ajay at subirex and now has a a forged block with stage 3 280 brain crower cams and titanium springs, and had the other usual mods coilovers, camber arms wheels straight threw exhaust, hopefully a few more mods to come soon too.

Welcome man, i recall this at a couple meets early last year. alot has changed since then though i believe, get a garage thread along with some pics up, car looks tough . 

 

iirc you had a Tomei M8265, single scroll exhaust housing etc, going to stay with that or move?

car isnt tuned yet has a tomei 82/65 on it which ill props keep for a while untill i get board of the power or i blow it, have a few more things i need to do before tune but hopefully get 350-380kw atw with this turbo,

Haha that it is such a drug can never have enough, not too sure yet, but e&h can program the si drive on the newer subis as like a boost controller, so i kimda like that feature.

380wkw with a Tomei 82/65? If you can hit 300 flat I will be entirely stunned, even high 200's would surprise me.

Sounds like you have a good platform for lots of power though

If the chra was in a decent pair of housings it would push over 300wkw. With the tiny inlet I cant see it making more than 280wkw.
