Model: 00 V6 STI (GC8) - 390KW 30 PSI, (253 kw is at 13 psi).
Displacement: 2L
Mods: GTX3071R twisted gen 1, Link G4+ wire in, black ops1400cc Injectors, 30 PSI, lots modified,  (1000HP capable block, Doweled, cdb, oil gallery mods, ARP headstud conversion).
Fuel: E75 ( read from dash EtOH sensor)
Tuner/Dyno: D TECH.

In case anyone wonders, yes I could bolt a bigger turbo and go for stupid power above 500wkw easy enough car is built to take it, but why bother, this way car is responsive and fun to drive, I don't want a small rev range of useable power.

Time will tell but on their recommendation  I made some changes. I am not prepared to risk anything, so bigger lift pump went on and other minor things were done.

HI Admin,

could we perhaps add another category to the mods list and break it down further - seeing as there are so many ECU's out there these days like Link and Autronic and so many others. Also unsure if we can add a category for turbo and boost level so others get some guidelines/inspiration on what all is going on....

Gotasuby - 393.4wkw
Model: 2002 V7 STI GDB
Displacement: 2.35l
Mods: S300 Turbo, ID1700@50psi base. ported heads, cams, fmic, 3" exhaust, DW300 FP, G4+, Twin scroll legacy headers.
Fuel: E85

Update to this car. We built a new engine for this year rally sprints. Wanted to max out turbo and header setup. Think the small legacy headers are at there limit. All at 25psi

98 tune shown as well

Upgrade to efr turbo and better headers should see 450wkw

How important was the headwork, considering you probably started off with STi heads?

Reason I ask is that I too am going to run kelford B's, but on an EJ25 twin scroll with either a BW 300sx or holset hx35/2. (or whatever Murch says, to be fair) Looking for E85 at some stage, hence the question. Wondering if heads would only really start making a difference for E85?

@Berg the ej25 heads are way smaller than the ej20 ones so you'll have more restriction to start.

IN-Port-600.jpg

Insert Big D vs little o :$ joke here.

Read this Tomei page for all the areas they looked at developing parts.

http://www.tomeiusa.com/news/Report-EJ25-V1.html

MRT reckons 260wkw on the ej25 is the max without head work.

but even before that the more efficient you make the flow the less timing and stress you put into the engine to make whatever power you are after.

But porting has minimizing returns, the first about $500 gets you 85% of the gains of a $2000 job.

Ok so I was looking in to this a few weeks ago and talking to a couple of shops.

@gotasuby does this all sound right from your experience. My build won't start until later this year.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
