Got A Blue V7 Sti Wagon

Finally got myself a mostly stock V7 Sti Wagon with 137000kms. Picking up next week so no pics yet.

Picture I took on test drive:

Anyone know what wheels they are? Apparently they are light forged wheels of some kind.

Gotta be honest, there is a dent and 2 decent scratched, one of which might buff out.

The look a bit like RPF1's but the spokes are flush with the face, RPF1s are offset.

I thought they were some discontinued advanti's? (Or maybe CSW's or something?)

 

Just take one off once you get the car, there's normally some kind of casting on the inside to say who made it

 

They'd look alright with some low and sprayed white I reckon

there should be markings on the outside or inside identifying them.

 

its a shame subaru never put the wide guards and sti saloon running gear in the wagon.

There's one around Welly with the sedan guards and control arms on the front, plus Brembos, it's rather nice.

looks real good, not a fan of the wierd cover thing over the headlights though. take those off and restore the headlights to their former glory

yep, I dont like em too much too  . I have the inter cooler water spray thing. does that do much?

The intercooler sprayer does quite a lot in terms of keeping intake temps cool.

 

A couple of my more agressive tunes would burn through an entire sprayer bottle in a 1/2 tank of gas, but the intake temps were COLD

Often easier said than done; the adhesive they use sticks like vomit to a wedding dress.

 

Mine had them, I replaced the headlights with the facelift 2002 ones with the black backings, much nicer.

Also snag a 2002 grill if you can find one.

Oooh also I hate to say it but welcome to a happy world where there's almost no more cheap-and-cheerful mods you can do to the car.

95% of stuff you can do cheaply will make the car worse; Mr Subaru and his team of engineers did a pretty bloody good job of these cars - improving on their work costs $$$.
