What mods would you do?

Not really interested in any handling mods at this stage. Just want to extract a little more power across the range - chassis is more than up to a few extra kW (I've already improved the braking). However, if I did start to go down the big power route, then I would definately look at suspension upgrades.

Agreed. Off on holiday next week, but will look at a trip to PBMS when I get back for a chat. Really appreciate the suggestions everyone has put forward. Thank you - what I love about this site. Very helpful bunch of enthusiasts ;)

End of the day, if you're not gonna do the work, take it to a tuner and have them install and choose the parts for you. That way they have no reason to backtrack and say the parts are sh!t when they chose them.

If the tuner has that attitude you will probably end up with a car that doesnt drive like the dyno sheet either way.

Yep it consists of many $$$ and a dodgy dyno if it doesnt get to where it needs to. Subarus do not make consistent power even on the same dyno with same tuner and spec build. Then what americans get out of their specific spec builds and turbos is a little fairytale like then the europe lads results differ again. 

 

 

The below rant isnt pointed at anyone its just that a general rant.

 

I for the life of me cant understand why people expect xxxwkw and arent happy if they dont get there. If you dont trust your tuner dont use them. Im sure they would be happier about it than having a disgruntled customer who thinks because bobistheoilguy says a gtx1234 makes 1234wkw @1234psi and its on the internet his car should too. Its pretty basic you add more fuel and air you get an increase in power relative to how much more of each you poke into it depending on the tuner. Obviously you need to pick parts based on your goal. If you need a 48lb turbo a gt35 is a silly selection but thats common sense. 

 

A gtx3071 sized snail is excellent for a street driven 2l sub as is a td06sl2 20g. 

 

If you want to have a street driven car you can kill yourself twice as fast in do headwork and move up to an hrc35/2, 3076, 3582 type stuff. 

 

Subaru bolton housings dont work well. The idea of buying them is to do things cheaply which means you use something like blouch which you pay a premium for the bolt on but in honesty theyre not as great as a gtx30 with a t3 housing that gives much better results. The md3xx series and so forth out of the uk work a lot better but then you can twist and gtx30 for the same money.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
