Rebuild or buy new block

Need some advice!

I have a ej207 fmic vf 22 turbo etc and I have the dreaded knock knock so have taken off the road and upgraded suspention, swaybars, links,  brakes etc and now time for the engine I am going to upgrade ecu anyways my biggest question is rebuild the existing or buy new eg possum built any help advice would be much appreciated

Thanks guys plans down the track are track/targa duties wanting 250-300kw any advice or a blueprint would help me out. As for engine builder/tuner was tossing between hi-Tec and PBMS. 

Also wanting to do the 6speed conversion worth it? or just rebuild/replace 5speed every time I understand the 6speed isn't as fragile as the 5? Initial cost for conversion is more but reliability and less maintance (rebuilds) would make it the way to go. Btw the car is a 97 gc8.

@Furze and @Dairusire have been through the 5 speed to 6 speed conversion maybe they can chime in about that part.. i say go for it if you got the funds and thats what your cars for (to 6 speed). nek minit youre getting a full v10 gdb conversion

In the grand scheme of things, 6 speed conversion is well worth it if the car is going to be used as a targa car. Even more so for general road use.

Also, if it's going to be for track / targa use, go get your cage and safety stuff first, get it homologated.

As for the gearbox talk, yes the 6 speed as significantly stronger than 5 speeds. Doesn't mean they're unbreakable though. Especially when accompanied with track work / racing. It's an easy swap imho, but depends on what you want to do and how far you want to go when swapping that in.

I love my 6 speed conversion, but it probably was 10k i didn't need to spend

F*** DID YOU DO IT OR DID YOU PAY SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT?
Got to Remember he's including a brand new clutch, and custom valved MCA red suspension on top of his entire v10 STi driveline and hub / brake conversion with wheels too since 114.3... So actually 10k is a pretty good price point.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
